The IGTOA and Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands Golf Challenge and Business Networking Dinner takes place on October 28th in Westmeath’s gorgeous Glasson Lakehouse.
The Golf Challenge is the perfect opportunity for you to sample the upgrades Davy Jones made to the parkland course at Glasson. Jones has received rave reviews for his reimagining of Christy O’Connor Jr’s original design.
A Viking Cruise to Ireland’s Oldest Pub
If 18 holes aren’t for you, then why not climb aboard a Viking ship bound for a public house that first opened more than a 1,000 years ago?
Start your trip with lunch in Glasson before a guided cruise will meander downstream on Lough Ree to the River Shannon and dock in Athlone. You will then be treated to an Irish Coffee in Sean’s Bar, the oldest pub in Ireland.
For those of you wish to stay overnight there are Limited rooms available at Glasson. A shuttle will run from Glasson to Athlone Town Hotels.
