New IGTOA Award Categories

The National Gala Irish Golf Awards – Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence in Golf Tourism

To celebrate the 20th year of the Gala Irish Golf Awards the IGTOA have announced Three NEW Award Categories.

Each year The IGTOA serves to celebrate and reward excellence in golf tourism through The Gala Irish Golf Awards. To celebrate the 20th year of the awards we are launching three additional award categories to recognise our Industry Partners that are providing a great service to golfers.

  • IGTOA Best Customer Experience – Property
  • IGTOA Best Customer Experience – Service Provider
  • IGTOA Best Customer Experience – Golf Course

These three new awards will recognise the ‘across the board’ excellence provided to visiting golfers. These award categories are open to all IGTOA Industry and Business Partners to enter.

Does your golf hotel have the facilities and exceptional customer experience to win? Does your golf course welcome new visitors to Ireland with a hundred thousand welcomes? Are you the best of the best in the golf tourism industry? If so, we invite you to apply now.

These three new awards will be evaluated and decided on by a subcommittee Golf Tourism Industry Professionals.

The existing awards:

  • IGTOA Links Golf Course of the Year
  • IGTOA Parkland Course of the Year
  • IGTOA Golf Resort of the Year
  • IGTOA Golf Hotel of the Year
  • IGTOA Boutique Hotel of the Year
  • Jerry Donworth Outstanding Contribution to Golf Award

Will be evaluated and decided up by the IGTOA Tour Operator Members based on their own experience and feedback of their clients.

The winners of all awards will be advised in advance of the 20th Gala Irish Golf Awards which will take place on Monday 23rd October 2017 at Trump International, Doonbeg.
