Walton Media Group announce Three Year Official Media Partnership with the IGTOA!

Walton Media Group and their leading publications “Golf Digest Ireland”, “Golfing Magazine”, “Golfingweekly.ie” and Tournament Division “Golf Digest Events” is delighted to announce a three year “Official Media Partnership” with the IGTOA –Ireland Golf Tour Operator Association, the recognised all island representative body for the Irish golf tourism industry. The announcement was made this week at Carton House by Walton Media Group Managing Director Linton Walsh and IGTOA Chairman Denis Kane.

Speaking about the announcement Linton Walsh, Managing Director, Walton Media Group said:

“Walton Media Group is delighted to announce a three year “Official Media Partnership” agreement with the IGTOA. Walton Media Group through our market leading publications “Golf Digest Ireland”, “Golfing Magazine”, “Golfingweekly.ie” and our Tournament Division “Golf Digest Events” wish to play our part in supporting the IGTOA and the Irish golf tourism industry. This three year “Official Media Partnership” is a clear testament of our commitment to  this. We have a developed a positive and engaged partnership with the IGTOA in recent years and this new agreement will ensure the IGTOA have the leading Irish golf media outlet in which they can access to promote their organisational activities on behalf of the Irish golf tourism industry.

Denis Kane, IGTOA Chairman at the announcement said:

This significant three year agreement enables the IGTOA to align with the leading golf publications in Ireland, ensuring that our key messages are shared with the entire Irish golf industry. Through their Tournament Division “Golf Digest Events” we are able to benefit from tournament support in the staging of our national events each season.

The IGTOA since inception in 1996 has developed in recent years to become the internationally recognised representative body for the Irish golf tourism industry. Through the continued commitment of our Chief Executive and Executive Board of Directors, we remain focused as an organisation to lobby for the protection and development of Irish golf and the growth of our sector. This announcement will give the IGTOA a unique opportunity to build on international brand awareness and market visibility for Irish golf, bringing future benefits for the industry across the island of Ireland. We would like to recognise and thank Walton Media Group for their support for the next three years ahead and we look forward to developing our partnership in the future”.

The IGTOA – Ireland Golf Tour Operator Association is the recognised industry representative body for the Irish golf tourism sector, both nationally and internationally. The IGTOA is supported by Fáilte Ireland, the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and Tourism Ireland and works cohesively with each agency on various ongoing issues pertaining to the Irish golf tourism industry. The IGTOA has engaged partnerships and professional industry affiliations with the European Tour, Ryder Cup Travel Services, the European Challenge Tour, the European Senior Tour, the Ladies European Tour, the Welsh Assembly, Visit Wales, Visit Scotland, Golf Tourism Scotland, Golf Tourism England, IAGTO, the Confederation of Irish Golf, the PGA Irish Region, the Golfing Union of Ireland and the Irish Ladies Golfing Union.

The IGTOA is a non for profit company by limited guarantee and is an all island members driven and supported organisation. The IGTOA has a core remit to support the growth, protection and development of the Irish golf tourism industry.
